Our History
Careers in Sport LIVE
Our flagship careers fair brings the sports and leisure industry to life. These in-person events, held at iconic venues across the UK, connect students and young professionals with the people and pathways behind every sports team, organisation, and event. We also offer bespoke workshops tailored for schools and organisations.
Careers in Sport
The original platform — now richer than ever. It features job listings, career profiles, and insights into roles such as coaches, journalists, photographers, match officials, therapists, and more. It’s the go-to resource for anyone exploring a future in sport.
Careers in Sport Academy
Curriculum-ready resources designed for primary and secondary schools. The Academy provides interactive tools, lesson plans, and active learning experiences to inspire pupils and embed sports career education into the classroom.
Transition to Careers in Sport LIVE
After the success of 25 National Sports Roadshows, it was time for our events to evolve into Careers in Sport LIVE.
This transition allowed us to provide even more immersive and impactful experiences for students, universities, employers and sports professionals. Our venues also moved from universities to iconic sports venues, including Anfield, Edgbaston Cricket Ground and Selhurst Park.
Birth of the National Sports Roadshow
We launched ‘The National Sports Roadshow’, our first major event series hosted at universities across England, Scotland, and Wales.
These roadshows offered a platform for employers, students, and professionals to interact with one another, whilst also featuring a selection of presentations, seminars, and interactive zones covering careers in sports, exercise and health.
Inception of Careers in Sport
Careers in Sport was established as the go-to organisation for careers advisors, students, and professionals seeking insights into the various opportunities available throughout the sports sector.
For almost 20 years we’ve been providing comprehensive advice through our careers hub, jobs board, university directory and more.
