Lee Sullivan

Director of Education

Lee is a passionate advocate for creating relevant, inclusive and meaningful PE experiences for all students. His approach is built upon:

  • Concept-driven and personalised curriculum
  • Holistic assessment practices
  • Inclusive and student-centred pedagogy
  • Nurturing physical literacy for lifelong engagement

He believes that PE should go beyond performance metrics — it should nurture confidence, competence, character and positive attitudes towards physical activity that last a lifetime. Creating positive PE environments that better nurture physical literacy and inspire lifelong participation is central to everything Lee does.

A Leader in Holistic Physical Education

At the heart of Lee’s work is a clear purpose of preparing students for life through physical education.

This belief drives his approach to curriculum design, teacher development and educational reform. It also inspired the creation of both the Primary and Secondary Concept Curriculum and his thought-provoking books, ‘Is PE in Crisis?’, ‘From PE Dread to Delight’ and ‘The Movement Monster’.
