These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website careers-in-sport-academy.co.uk (“Website”) and the purchase of any products or services from Careers in Sport Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing this Website or placing an order, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

  • “Buyer”, “you”, “your” means the individual, school, academy trust, organisation or business purchasing Products or Services.
  • “Consumer” means an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business or profession.
  • “School” means any educational institution, academy trust or organisation purchasing for institutional use.
  • “Products” means digital downloads, physical resources, subscriptions or materials sold via the Website.
  • “Services” means workshops, training, consultancy, or educational support provided by us.
  • “Contract” means the legally binding agreement formed when we accept your order.
  1. USE OF THE WEBSITE

You agree:

  • To use the Website lawfully.
  • Not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or exploit Website content without permission.
  • Not to interfere with Website security or functionality.

We reserve the right to suspend access if misuse occurs.

  1. ORDERS AND CONTRACT FORMATION

4.1 All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
4.2 A Contract is formed only when we issue an Order Confirmation email.
4.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order prior to confirmation.

  1. PRICING & PAYMENT

5.1 All prices are shown in GBP (£).
5.2 VAT will be added where applicable.
5.3 Payment must be made at checkout unless invoicing terms have been agreed with a School.
5.4 We reserve the right to change pricing at any time prior to order confirmation.

  1. DELIVERY

6.1 Digital Products

Delivered via download link or account access shortly after purchase.

You are responsible for ensuring you can access and download digital files.

6.2 Physical Products

Delivery times are estimates only. Risk passes to you upon delivery.

6.3 Services

Workshops or consultancy will be delivered on agreed dates. Schools must provide suitable facilities and access.

  1. SUBSCRIPTION TERMS

If you purchase a subscription (e.g. annual school membership):

7.1 Subscriptions run for the period stated at purchase.
7.2 Payment is due in advance.
7.3 Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions do not auto-renew unless clearly agreed at checkout.
7.4 Access to subscription content is provided only for the duration of the active subscription.
7.5 We reserve the right to update or modify subscription content during the subscription term.
7.6 Failure to pay renewal invoices may result in suspension of access.

We may suspend access if there is misuse of materials or breach of licence terms.

  1. SCHOOL LICENCE USE

Unless otherwise stated, digital resources are sold under a single-school licence.

Under this licence:

Schools may:

  • Use materials within their purchasing school site.
  • Share materials with employed staff members.
  • Deliver content to their registered pupils.

Schools may NOT:

  • Share materials externally beyond the purchasing institution.
  • Upload materials to publicly accessible websites.
  • Resell, redistribute or modify for commercial purposes.
  • Share across multi-academy trusts unless a multi-site licence is purchased.

If you require a trust-wide or multi-site licence, please contact us.

Unauthorised distribution constitutes copyright infringement.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All Website content, branding, downloadable resources, lesson materials, frameworks and course content are owned or licensed by Careers in Sport Academy.

No ownership rights transfer upon purchase — only the limited licence described above.

  1. CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & COOLING-OFF RIGHTS

10.1 Business Customers (Schools & Organisations)

Where you are purchasing in the course of business:

  • Digital products are non-refundable once access has been provided.
  • Physical goods may be returned within 14 days if unused and in original condition.
  • Services cancelled less than 14 days before delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee (up to 100% depending on notice period).

10.2 Consumer Cooling-Off Rights (UK Consumers Only)

If you are a Consumer under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:

You have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason.

Digital Downloads

By purchasing digital content and accessing or downloading it immediately, you:

  • Expressly consent to immediate performance, and
  • Acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once download/access begins.

You will be required to confirm this at checkout.

Physical Goods

You may cancel within 14 days of receiving goods.
Goods must be returned unused and in resaleable condition.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving returned goods.

Return postage costs are your responsibility unless goods are faulty.

  1. FAULTY OR DEFECTIVE GOODS

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If goods are faulty, misdescribed or not as advertised, you may be entitled to repair, replacement or refund.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant Product or Service.

Nothing excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
  1. DATA PROTECTION

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Schools purchasing on behalf of pupils remain responsible for GDPR compliance when using our materials.

  1. FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Illness
  • Travel disruption
  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  1. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. The version in force at the time of purchase will apply to your Contract.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
